What the stats say! Incredible facts and Stats!

Having always been interested in facts and figures, I was highly enlightened when researching Social Media Statistics and moreover, bowled over by the potential out there for bloggers and small business owners!

Fascinating Social Media Statistics for Bloggers

First of all, when people hear information, they’re likely to remember only 10% of that information three days later. However, if a relevant image is paired with that same information, people retained 65% of the information three days later.

  • Tweets with images receive 150% more retweets than tweets without images.
  • Interestingly, Facebook posts with images see 2.3X more engagement than those without images

Visual Content

Visual content is 40X more likely to get shared on social media than other types of content. (Buffer, 2014) Articles with an image once every 75-100 words got double the number of social shares than articles with fewer images.

Remarkably, images affect emotion, and, according to Psychology Today, emotion has an influential role in consumers’ purchase decisions.

Facebook – Social Media Statistics

Mark Zuckerberg is the founder, chairman and CEO of Facebook.

Founded in 2004, Facebook’s mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. People use Facebook to stay connected with friends and family, to discover what’s going on in the world, and to share and express what matters to them.
